Made in Yorkshire News
Made in Yorkshire News are a Made in Yorkshire Gold Member
Manufacturers have once again demonstrated their support for one of Yorkshire’s biggest industry showcases - the 2018 Made in Yorkshire annual exhibition.
Scores of MIY members have signed up to exhibit at this year’s event, which promises to be even larger than last year’s inaugural event.
In addition to MIY members, hundreds of visitors are expected to head for the Centenary Pavilion at Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium on May 17 to talk to delegates about the myriad business opportunities which characterise this unique event.
Last year’s inaugural event, which was called Manufactured Yorkshire, received widespread acclaim and due to the strong demand, this year’s event will be even larger; reflective of Yorkshire’s dynamic manufacturing community.
Made in Yorkshire is a unique community of like-minded companies with a vested interest in promoting Yorkshire industry.
MIY recognises how important it is that Yorkshire has this level of exposure because of its high concentration and dependency on manufacturing.
Additionally, Yorkshire’s strong civic pride and disconnect from London make it vital that the region has a recognisable showcase for such a prominent industry.
The Made in Yorkshire exhibition is aimed at companies which value the manufacturing sector and recognise the importance of reviewing their supply-chain, meeting new contacts and getting a feel for how well the Yorkshire manufacturing community is innovating, investing and promoting itself.
Visitors will have the opportunity of meeting businesses from a range of industrial sectors, the overwhelming majority of which will be based within Yorkshire, from Tier One and below. Importantly, all of these will be members of Made in Yorkshire, making it easy to continue connecting with them post event.
There is still plenty of time to get involved with this special event.
To exhibit, firms must be either a Gold or Silver member of Made in Yorkshire, which entitles them to a free stand at the show. This unique approach gives a predictable and evenly distributed cost to marketing.
The exhibition, while a major showcase, is just one of the many events MIY organises throughout the year to help members connect on a much deeper level than via traditional trade shows.
All members signing up to participate in the exhibition also get their own microsite and microblogging platform to help promote their businesses throughout the year.
